High-Speed and Photo-Quality Printing
PIXMA iP4000 featuring the FINE
high-performance print head
The "engine" of an inkjet printer, the print head, determines image
quality and print speed. The PIXMA iP4000 incorporates Canon's "FINE" (Full-photolithography
Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print head.
Outputs a beautiful 4" x 6" borderless photo in approx. 36 seconds*
The PIXMA iP4000 boasts a FINE print head that features a total of 1,856 nozzles
for true 1200 dpi resolution. It also features an independent drive 4-motor system
and a high-speed paper feed mechanism. Further, the sequence and motor margin have
been optimized for faster printing of high-quality pictures. The PIXMA iP4000 can
print monochrome text documents at up to 25 ppm and color documents at up to 17 ppm.

Achieving high quality three-dimensional photo prints through ContrastPLUS together
with 2 pl, 4800 dpi
The PIXMA iP4000 uses 6-plane processing to eject 2 pl droplets alongside 5 pl
droplets. Combined with 4800 x 1200 dpi high-resolution prints, it achieves lower
graininess and higher precision. Photo black ink also improves overall image contrast.
The result rivals photographs printed by 6-color printers.
Fully equipped with convenient
printing functions for Advanced Media Handling
To deliver a comfortable printing environment with improved printing speed and convenience,
the PIXMA iP4000 comes standard with a wide array of convenient functions to meet
the needs of diverse printing styles.
2-Way Paper Feeding
The Paper Feed Cassette is built into the printer unit. Combined with the conventional
Auto Sheet Feeder, this offers 2-Way Paper Feeding convenience as a standard feature.The
Paper Feed Switch shifts the paper-feed location from the Auto Sheet Feeder to the
Cassette and back. Detailed settings for the paper feed method
can be set using the printer driver.

The built-in tray-guide lets users directly print on DVD and CD. Known for precise,
highspeed, high-image-quality printing, Canon's DVD/CD Direct Printing has been made
easier to use.
